What is the GM Factory Warranty?
Its what comes with almost all new Chevrolets, Pontiacs, Buicks or Saturns
purchased at any one of our Ed Bozarth Dealerships. It is a fully backed
100,000 mile/5-year* powertrain limited warranty. This warranty comes with the
vehicle and is transferrable during the warranty period. Naturally there are
many questions you may have about this warranty, so we have taken the liberty of
attempting to answer them in advance of your visit.
What does the Powertrain Warranty Include?
In general the Powertrain warranty covers the engine, transmission, transfer
case and axle assemblies. It also includes Roadside Assistance and Courtesy
Transportation. Check with your Ed Bozarth Business Manager to see what is
covered for your specific vehicle.
What does Roadside Assistance Include?
For 5 years or 100,000 miles you get the convenience of 24/7 GM Roadside
Assistance. This includes Fuel Delivery (so you can get to the next station),
as well as Lock-Out, Flat Tire (covers the change only), Jump Start and
Emergency Towing services.
GM Roadside Assistance can be reached 24 hours a day every day of the year. This
service is provided at no extra charge. It is only available in the United
States and Canada.
What about Courtesy Transportation?
Courtesy Transporation is also included on all 2008 and most 2009-10 vehicles
(check with your Ed Bozarth Business Manager) for 5 years or 100,000 miles.
This means that whenever warranty repairs are required, several transporation
options and/or reimbursement of certain transporation expenses are available for
your convenience.
I Purchased a DuraMax Diesel 2007 Chevrolet Silverado from your Ed Bozarth
dealership, how does this affect its DuraMax Powertrain warranty?
You are no longer required to pay the $100 deductible previously associated with
the DuraMax Engine powertrain limited warranty.
